Electronic Security System at Chambers St. Station Complex

L.K. Comstock has been awarded a $2.3 million subcontract to install an electronic security system (ESS) for NYCT’s Chambers Street Station (CSSC) complex.
L.K. Comstock will install an electronic security system (ESS) for the Chambers Street Station featuring a security work station and badging station. L.K. Comstock will install and test these subsystems:
- Closed circuit television (CCTV),also referred to as a video surveillance system
- Access control system
- Intrusion detection system
- Intercom system
- Station local area network, including cable/conduit infrastructure
- Wide area network
In addition, L.K. Comstock will install and test a new power distribution system in the two communications rooms and a new HVAC system.
The CSSC is part of the New York City subway and consists of the IRT Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station, the BMT Chambers Street Station and the underground passageways connecting the two stations. Work begins in the fall of 2010.
